A Golden Update from West Africa! | The APT GoldKacha Exceeds Expectations

Recently, we received feedback from one of our customers in West Africa who is using the GoldKacha Concentrator on their small scale mine site.

Astounding gold recovery was achieved in the unit, without the need for, or the use of, mercury. A huge win for the miners!

The GoldKacha is our centrifugal gravity concentrator, which can handle a capacity of up to 3tph. The unit runs off a 0.75kW electric motor, and requires a small generator and water source for operation. If you’re wanting to process on the larger scale, several units can be nested allowing your operators to treat a greater tonnage of material. Not only is the GoldKacha affordable, but it is also simple to operate and exceptionally robust, meaning no surprise breakdowns and losses in production.

Thank you to our valued client for sharing this impressive feedback with us.

Manganese Recovery Plant | Small to Medium Scale Mining

APT’s range of wash plants were created for small to medium scale miners looking to process ore from 3tph through to 150tph, and wanting to do so in a reliable, cost effective manner.

Our wash plants have been installed all over the globe, and are the basis for a range of different mineral processing options such as gold, chrome, lead, manganese and more.

Below is a 20tph installation for manganese recovery in West Africa. Simple and effective!

The GK-X | APT's Medium Scale, High Efficiency Concentrator

The APT GK-X Medium Scale, High Efficiency Concentrator outside our Head Office in preparation for shipment to one of our valued clients.

The GK-X is targeted towards medium scale miners, rated for up to 20tph solids feed in a slurry that can range from 30-60% solids. Application is either alluvial, hard rock or tailings and the feed is optimal at -2mm, although -3mm is acceptable and will allow more nugget like gold recovery in alluvial applications.

The APT GoldKacha Concentrator Does it Again with Excellent Mercury-Free Gold Recovery in Sudan

The GoldKacha Concentrator has proven itself as a ‘power plant’ in mercury-free mining. Small to medium scale miners alike incorporate the unit into their process where necessary; whether it be for continuous recovery or exploration purposes. Our client in Sudan is using the GoldKacha on milled material, and the results have been excellent!

Our client reported “The miners are over the moon with the high recovery of the GoldKacha!” and we could not be more proud to hear such great news. We look forward to their continued success.

Wishing You a Wonderful 2023!

This year has been exceptionally busy for us here at APT, filled to the brim with production and development. Our team has worked extremely hard and are we very proud of what has been achieved both in-house and out in the field.

We will be taking a short break to re-charge and ensure we continue to bring you our best in the New Year. The APT office will be closing on Thursday 15 December 2022 at 16:00 and re-opening on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 at 08:00.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to each of our clients for your continued support, and for sharing in our vision. We wish you a wonderful festive season, and a prosperous year ahead!

APT Completes Manufacture of a Medium Scale Gold Processing Plant

We’ve been busy as of late packing and shipping multiple GroundBreaker orders to various locations across the globe, mostly here within Africa. Amongst these was a medium scale processing plant which will be used for gold recovery in East Africa. Pictured below is our RG200 Scrubber, which forms part of the feed preparation module for this plant.

The journey to site has begun and we look forward to sending our team of APT engineers and technicians, the core of whom have managed the in-house design and manufacture of this plant, to carry out the installation and commissioning process. With their thorough understanding of the plant, we have no doubt this will be achieved successfully in an efficient and timely manner.

Making Progress on an APT JC25 Jaw Crusher | A Glimpse into the Warehouse at APT

All of our APT mineral processing plants are designed, engineered and manufactured here at our Head Office by our small, highly skilled team. This ensures our we uphold our high quality standards, and remain at the forefront of technology. Here is a glimpse at the manufacturing of one of the solutions we offer within our small scale GroundBreaker Range of equipment, this one known as the JC25.

The JC25 is APT’s 2.5tph compact and reliable jaw crusher. The unit is used as a primary crusher for mineral bearing hard rock, followed by the APT RD15 Impact Crusher for secondary crushing and final mineral liberation. We offer this crusher in both a fully mobile version, as well as a similar stand alone version.

Gold Recovery from Tailings Achieved in the Most Effective Way: the APT TriTank

APT pioneered the TriTank system for gold recovery via CIL/CIP in the 1990’s, and it has since become one of our greatest engineering marvels, taking ordinary cyanidation to extraordinary recovery.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the APT TriTank system to anyone considering slurry cyanidation, it is a paradigm ahead of the old tank system.
— P. Mitchell (Max Mine, Zimbabwe)

The Tritank is used for recovering gold from ores that cannot be readily treated using gravity or other physical processes. Examples include finely disseminated ores and previously treated tailings material. The design incorporates the traditional 6 cyanidation tanks into one single tank, partitioned into 6 individual sectors. The result? Less steel required for manufacture (and thus lower capital cost), smaller footprint, easier materials transfer between sectors, enhanced mixing characteristics, and more.

Pictured below is a small scale TriTank located in Southern Africa which was engineered, installed and commissioned by APT.
